Maternity benefit

Hi there I am currently pregnant and will be getting paid maternity leave. What benefit will I get from the state (currently earn circa net €3k per month).

I intend on taking the unpaid leave also - will I be entitled to anything then??

Maximum Maternity Benefit payable is E280 p.w. and it appears that would be the rate for you.

Unpaid leave is exactly that, Unpaid :mad:

Don't forget to apply for your SW credits when you return to work

2 friends of mine recently came back from unpaid maternity leave but they still got a cheque for those months with about 800-900 in it (they would normally get about 4,500 net). They are not sure what this was for...maybe something to do with tax back or something?
