My employer has offerd to pay €120 net toward my maternity benefit
this will bring in a net payment of €400. Will i pay tax on this amount and if my employer is paying me €120 net per week, how should i work this out in gross because when i gross this up most of it includes a tax refund, what is the best way to work this out for my own benefit? Can anyone help with this?

I havent asked yet as i wanted to understand it myself and dont want to be talked into something i later regret. I want to make sure that i get the benefit of my rebate in tax and not the employer if that makes sense?

If your employer, out of the goodness of their heart, is topping up your maternity benefit then they should aim to leave you with the same take home income at the minimum cost to themselves.
