Has anyone heard of those man hole cover thngs that look like grass? I have two big man holes in the middle of my back garden so putting plant pots or anything on them is not an option and someone mentioned these things. I'm not interested if they're really crappy fake grass. Has anyone seen these or know where to get them? Are they expensive too?
If the fake (?) grass thing doesn't work out maybe painting them using green Hammerite/Triflow would work? I did this for the one out our back garden and it helped disguise it.
Or some strategically placed shrubbery. Careful you don't completely block the cover though or else you'll have to hack away the plants to get at the drains!
When we got the cobblelocking done they were able to get a manhole cover with red brick insert so it was able to blend. You could check with your builder's providers or possibly http://www.roadstone.ie/ to see if they have anything available/other options.
I need to replace an old manhole cover. Bought one in my local builders providers but it is slightly too big. Any suggestions other then to get the right size - as I tried that but no luck.
