My daughter just boughtcan apartment july 2025 .The mgt company sent her the bill for 2500 management fees as the seller did not pay any part of the fees before selling

The usual practice is that accruing costs are apportioned up to the date of sale — i.e. if a management fee of €2,500 for calendar year 2025 is payable , and you buy the apartment on 1 July at which point none of it has been paid, the purchase price should be reduced by €1,250 in respect of the accrued but unpaid liablity for management fees. On the other hand, if some fee has been prepaid, the purchase price is increased to compensate the seller for the service he paid for but will not receive. There are usually several such adjustments netted off against one another. There should exist a closing statement showing them, and their impact on the final amount paid.

Well solicitor had got an undertaking from vendors solicitor that it would be paid up to date of sale
Oh, OK. Well then go back to vendor's solicitor and seek the amount that should have been paid on foot of this undertaking. But OP's daughter has to do this; she can't tell management company to do it. They didn't get, or agree to accept, any undertaking about this, so enforcing the undertaking is not their problem.

Yes, another common one would be LPT. Normally (or always?) paid in full for the year by the seller and then refunded by the buyer to the seller pro-rata for the portion of the year that the buyer eventually owns the property.

How would the management company get the new owner's personal contact details or is the correspondence addressed generically to the "Owner/Occupier of" address?

I concur with above post. In my case case it's Sept to August so while she may have got a bill to say they're owed for 2025 she needs to check the details.
