Man Yoo - how to purchase a single share

Not really an investment but ...

What is the best way (is there a way?) of purchasing a single share in Man United plc and getting a share certificate for my father as a Xmas present ?

(Obviously this would be in addition to the more normal pressie - but I think he will treasure this more)
 
Not sure of the mechanics but not sure my father who lived in Manchester in the 60s and is a Utd supporter would have any interest in shares in the club as it's effectively being plundered by the Glazers to repay the loan they took out to buy the club.

Maybe I'm just grumpy today.

Consider buying 100 shares and then sell 99 shares and you then get balance cert for one share !
