Hi,
I recently got a carpet fitted in my bedroom and there was quite a bit left over. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could go to get it converted into a rug (want to get the edges tidied up so that there is no unravelling and so that it looks like an actual rug and not a carpet end!!!)

Has anyone any ideas?

Thanks

I don't know what part of the country you're in, but there's a guy at 52 South Avenue, Mount Merrion, Dublin Tel. 01 288 1555 who bound some carpet off-cuts for me a couple of years ago.

You can choose the binding colour and he charges per yard/meter.

Do you have the name of the guy in Mount Merrion or names of any other individuals who will do this?

Any carpet company worth its salt should be able to tell you where you can get carpet remnants whipstitched.

Hi loughquinn, I don't remember his name, but he's a very nice, elderly gentleman who works from home - you can call the number and ask him for a quote?

As I said, it's a couple of years ago now, he may not be doing it anymore.
