Making changes to Joint Assessment/Tax Credits

Hi,

I was made redundant a while ago and for purposes of tax my wife and I are jointly assessed with the tax credits being applied mostly to my salary. What is the process of reversing this, i.e., so that the tax credits we have are mostly now applied to my wife's earnings?

In my experience, communication by letter is much more effective than a phone call for this sort of request.

Register for PAYE Anytime on the Revenue homepage and do it yourself...it's pretty straightforward.
