Am planning to buy a new house and the going price by the EA is 340,000,and i made an offer of 270,000,its a nice house,location,not so but i can work with that,what do you think?bid too low,high? thanks

How could complete strangers who know nothing about you or the property give any opinion on this?

Either the vendor will accept or they won't. Some people need to sell - some people don't. But the only way to know for definite is to offer.

The opinions will matter slightly more with more info available like, how long is it on the market, comparable properties are asking for how much?, is anything selling in the area, how is the price comparable to say 2/3 years ago?
Also you say the location is a bit iffy, is that socially or proximity to work, friends etc?

the development has been on since 2006,there is definate interest,some of the house occupied since 2006,i believe by people who bought off plan,it was at first on the market at 425,000,hope this helps,the place is in the west of dublin so have to commute and also abit far from friends,currently in the proximity of the city center,comparable properties are going more or less for the same or lower by 20-30,but its the one that caught my eye
