lucky bamboo with leaves turning yellow

I have lucky bamboo and recently added a litle miracle gro plant food. now the leaves are turning yellow. I am not sure if it s a co incidence or not. it. says here it could be over feed

I always leave the water overnight as they do not like tap water. Where would i get distilled water and is that the same as de ionised water as used in car batteries?
