I've sought answers from here before but this is my first post.
About 7 months ago, I moved to a second hand house in the country and we had no issue with our water supply. For the past number of weekends the pressure to our house has dropped to half its normal pressure and this has casued some problems.
Basically the tank in our attic won't fill due to the low pressure and we can't use the washing machine and dish washer at the weekends either. Water is coming from the mains with less pressure so we do have access to some water.
We are connected to the public water mains and have contacted the county council and they are saying nothing has changed only a possible increase in demand. They say that the level of our tank could be a similar to the level of the reservoir water, there may not be enough pressure to allow water refill your tank. They have suggested getting a 1000 litre backup tank.
Would anyone have any ideas on what solutions we could put in place to over come the low water pressure at weekends.
