Lot of cut grass, is it going to leave a mess?

I usually mulch my grass whilst cutting but recently due to a combination of mower problems, bad weather and lack of time, the grass got very long and I had to collect it.

I have tried to dump this around various parts of my garden, in a ditch up the side, and behind my garage.

Thing is, I am worried what it will turn to as time moves on.

Would I be better trying to move it? When it rots will it smell or attract anything I might not like !!?

Pile it in a corner and it will turn to compost over time. S

Grass on it's own will eventually turn to compost, but not quickly. You are better mixing it with other materials, like newspaper and other garden waste. If the grass was treated with any weedkillers, don't use it for composting. Put it in the brown bin.

Will not smell atall. I dump mine in a heap all the time and it just seems to disappear eventually.
