Losing mileage allowance

I've been told by my employer that I can no longer claim mileage using my own car and that I have to use a company van from now on. However I'm being expected to drive to work to collect the van each day and return it each evening? Have I any rights?

Could I ask to have the van full time and pay BIK? At least it would mean I wouldn't have to pay for running a car aswell as losing mileage money (about 10-15% of my earnings).

agreed, do ask for van & as far as im aware there is no BIK on a a commercial vehicle

I believe their is 5% BIK on commercials but i am not 100% on this. As long as you are starting / finishing work at the same time i don't see what the problem is other then you started to include your mileage as part of your pay.
