Looking to buy a 4ft bed

No joy in my searches for a 3'6" bed :(. Can anyone help, I'm now looking to buy a 4ft strong wooden framed bed instead. I've done all the usual searches but no joy so help would be appreciated.

There was another thread on this - do a search for it and you'll be the info. I recommended Bargaintown at the time

Indeed you did :) mention Bargaintown (thanks) and on that suggestion I checked out Bargaintown; they have one type of 4ft bed at the moment which might suit as a last resort, but I'd like to source a few others which I could personally check out, i.e. lift the mattress to check the base supports etc.

You should be able to check them out personally - they generally have them made up in the showrooms. I got to check mine out no problem and it was pretty sturdy (solid pine) which I was a bit (pleasantly) surprised about to be honest. There were other suppliers recommended on that previous thread I think too.
