Looking for info on this driveway company

Hi all,

Hope I'm not breaching any AAM guidelines by asking this but has anyone had any dealings with a Company called Independent Driveways in Dublin? Just had a guy have a look at my driveway and before I start checking out his work, just wondering if anyone has any experience with them. They don't have a website and didn't have a brochure, only a file with photos.

Hi Sueellen,

Well thats interesting. The guy that was around yesterday mentioned he has a brother that does one end of the driveways (he does paving and the brother does Tarmac), this is the only explanation I can think of. But I'll definitely ask the question if I call him back.

They did a block drive in a neighbour's a few weeks back, looks like a good job. They posted flyers while they were on the job, these had both addresses.

Ducky did you go with them? We're looking to get tarmac laid in our driveway. I checked them up too and found an address in Clondalkin as well?

Hi Muffin1973,

To be honest, we've put off getting the driveway done now until the new year. We did get a price from another contractor though as we were shopping around and found that there is cheaper out there. We checked out the other contractors work and will probably go with them in the new year.

whats the rate for laying tarmacadam per square meter and if you wanted only tar and chip?
 
We got various different quotes. We have appoximately 115 sq metres and got quotes from €7000 down to €2,700. This is just tarmac.
