Hi,

I want to put a flowertub at a grave and I am looking for ideas of what types of (very) low maintenance plants/shrubs that I could put in the tub. The grave would only be visited every few weeks so the plants/shrubs would be reliant on rainwater most of time. Can anyone suggest some plants or shrubs that might be suitable.
Thanks.

Aside from the plants, I find from experience that the best "flowertub" you can get are the ones with a water resevoir underneath. They cost slightly more, but are worth it - especially if we get a dry spell.

Begonias and Busy Lizzies are good at looking after themselves.

I've seen some heathers planted at graves and it looks really nice and little/no maintenance required.

Make sure the graveyard permit tubs - many don't these days, to allow for maintenance by tractor for grass cutting.
