Hi there

Looking for some advice or options on investing an amount on behalf of my son.

I will be receiving some inheritance shortly and would like to put some away for my son to have access to when he is 18.

Other than sticking it into PO/credit union/savings with little or no interest for 15 years is it possible to invest it into a low risk bond or something else with a reasonable return?

Investment amount 10-15 k

Anyone any suggestions?

Thanks

15 years is a long time for the money to deflate in a low interest account

Alternative I think could be to create eg degiro account and put it into type of sp500 etf

You can have multiple degiro accounts

15 years is long enough to go 100% equities

Not sure how this would be affected by tax
