Long delay in getting Details from UK EU Section for my Illness and Maternity Benefit

Hi there, I was wondering if there is anyone else out there in same boat, I lived all my life in Republic of Ireland but worked 6 and half years in NI, I then changed myh post last year to work in Republic again. i was put off on illness benefit at start of December 2009 by my doctor until my maternity started on 15th of February 2010 due to Pregnancy problems.When i sent in both my application forms i was advised they have to get E104 Cert from EU section in HMRC in UK, I was enquirying today to see if there has been any process in both my claims as i haven't received any money yet at all, they told my the process is long it can take up to 6 months to get sorted. Has anyone else experienced this please help !!

The problem is at the Uk end; there is little the Irish SW can do except issue reminders, etc.. They are notoriously slow in transferring information and won't give it over the phone.
