P phester Registered User Messages 138 5 Feb 2009 #2 I am not sure about a standalone freezer but a fridge freezer is a no no if ambient temperatures drop below 5degC. The fridge no longer needs to run to keep within its temperature band of say 4degC. and so the freezer will gradually warm up.
