The course shall give the student an understanding of how money works. Our attitudes to money will be explored and discussed. Our insurance protection needs shall be looked at. In your own time you will complete a personal household budget exercise to establish your capacity to save. You will be introduced to investment and the risk and return characteristics of various asset types commonly invested in. Various types of stock market collective investment products shall be outlined and sound investment strategies proposed. The course aims to give you the person with a low-medium level of financial literacy the knowledge to deal effectively with their financial affairs and get the most from any financial advice they take.

Any links to software to record ones financial comings and goings.
I have done up my own excel spreadsheet.
But I'm not an expert excel user and would like to see a gold standard document.
