Light colour grout in kitchen floor staining

Hi, I recently laid a tile floor in the kitchen, light colour tiles and the grout was "sandstone" in colour.

The problem is that the grout is getting stained and darkened in places, especially if you get a grease spillage etc.

I guess going to a darker grout would improve things and am looking at how to achieve this..... or any other suggestions.

Any advice or suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

If you leave it alone it will all be uniformly gray after about a year

I had the same problem in my flat the way I cleaned it was by using my favourite tool a steam cleaner.

After cleaning the grout then use the sealer.

SLF - what steam cleaner do you have. I have been looking through posts as I want to buy one and can't decide.

Can you recommend yours?
