Lifetime Asset Trust

Myself and my husband are considering setting up a Lifetime Asset Trust.

I have read about this in some detail, but would like to know if anyone has experience of setting up such a Trust and any potential issues we may face? Neither of us will be the Trustee of this Trust.

Are these used in Ireland?

Unless the assets are substantial and the need for a trust is overwhelming, the tax and legal problems usually make them unviable.
