i have a life insurance policy from boi taken out in 2000 when getting a
mortgage.it is for 20 yrs. and costs e58.31/month they want to revise
it up to e64.56/month.the cover is for e127,000 there is additional
living cover of e63,500 for serios illness.this cover is a non-reducing type
so pay out after 19 years the same as to-day.is this policy good value ?
where would i get alternative quotes ? i find it hard to compare this
policy with others because of all questions asked.i suppose the problem is
that i took it out with mortgage and never really understood it.
any advise/info woukld be appricated.

BOI have a problem. They have sold you a porky, they know it but they are not going to do anything about it because they think they have a watertight case. They also know that your business is important to them because without it they don't have a business.

Logic would tell us that its in their best interests to keep you satisfied. But they know you don't know how to complain effectively so they will continue to do it. You really are another valued customer.

Get as much relevant information as possible, try to have supporting documentation and go for their throats until they resolve the mess they got you into!
