Legal position of householder who covers perimeter wall with visible Razor Fencing?

Im wondering about the legal position of a householder who has for arguments sake covered the parameter walls around his/her property with razor wire that is visible.

What would happen if would be burglar or vandal got injured trying to trespass the property and is the householder liable for any injuries. The reason for this is the householder is sick and tired of trespassing and was recently burgled.

I think you would be liable to anyone injured on that wire, even though they were trespassers.

I have a distant recollection of a bye law re barbed wire along roadsides.

Theres a house near where I lived in Shannon that cemented razor wire and pieces of glass into the top of their boundry walls.

Could never see in, they built this massive high wall, installed cameras and such.

Maybe it was someone famous... although it was a council house me thinks..!

Hi, I did read the post !!! Crazy stuff. This is not a boundry wall, it is an end house and god knows what muppet ends up in the garden. Unfortunately there is a real lack of respect for other peoples property. As I said this problem has just gone to far and the property needs to be really secured as it is empty most of the time and the gards just cannot be bothered.

I think at this just razor wire the place and tough luck on the muppet that injures themselves.
