ON TVAM Eddie Hobbs said that he paid a marginal rate of 72% and Mark Cagney paid 63%.
I remember paying 52%.

Are they correct or are they adding on PRSI/Soc Welare and Levies(like Ins levy for PMPA)

The Marginal rate of PAYE was 65% in 1984, on an income of £10K or more. That seems to be the highest it was in the 80s.
I cant find a list of the legacy tax rates, but you can find it easily enough for each year, in the finance act for each year.
