Leaving cert english paper 2 deferred

I sincerely hope the unbelievable mistake of handing out English paper 2 this morning, made by a superintendent in a Co Louth school does not add more stress to some of the already stressed out students.

I do believe a sixth class primary school student would not have made such a mistake on the first day of the exams.

Students now have to take the exam on Saturday morning, less time for a rest or further study. Less likely hood of the already recommended topics by their teachers coming up.

Will head/heads roll. UNLIKELY.

Leaves me thinking even more, can the powers that be get anything right in this little country of hours?

Really important that you sort out that title!!
Its only the leaving cert and not the junior cert that has been affected!
You nearly gave me a heart attack!

Apparently the papers are all packaged in colour coded wrapping to avoid this happening. WHy would they even be in the room?
All these exam supervisors are teachers (getting about 120 euro a day plus expenses) - This cock up will cost hundreds of thousands in extra pay for supervisors and transport costs. A similar thing hapenned in 1999 - but the exams were on the same day and the pupils weren't let out until both exams were over.

So 50,000 students have to sit exam on Saturday. The poor sods! As if they are not stressed out enough.

My niece is raging over this as it throws out all her study plans for the next few days. She is extremely diligent with her study and has been working really hard despite some traumatic events having occurred recently in her life.
It is so unfair on the likes of her and other diligent and ambitious students. This type of cock up should never occur. The person responsible should not supervise any further exams this year or in the future.
