Has anyone had any experience with fixing a leak in a washing machine. Filter is not blocked so not exactly sure where to look next. Any advice would be greatfully received?

Had same problem last year. The hose from the pump had a hole where it was rubbing against the concrete arond the drum. Pull the machine out and tilt it back so you can see underneath. If this is the problem replace the hose or seal the hole.

take the lid off then its usually held on by two screws at the back.Start the machine up and you should see where its leaking from.Dont touch anything untill you unplug the machine.

Found leak in the rubber between the drum and frame. Are these off the shelf items are is there any product out there to patch up?

would it be a Whirlpool machine by any chance?

We have one and the leak stems from the soap dispenser box where the water feeds into the machine. Apparently there is a design flaw with heir machines that results in water overflowing the dispenser, down the inside of the machine and leaks out around the door seals......we are replacing our machine this week!!

Hey, had the exact same problem. Used a bit of Oasis Fix from flower shop. That was over two years ago, not a drop of water since. Just make sure area is good and dry, play with fix until its soft then apply to the area; leave to get hard. Problem solved.

Of course not!!

They deny there is a design fault and to be honest the machine is about 4 years old now (problem surfaced after 2 years) I'm just not bothered chasing them as it won't lead anywhere other than a pain in the polo mint for me!

Replacing with Bosch machine, will never purchase another Whirlpool again.

If you can't get a patch I walked town a few times looking for parts for washing machine and eventually had to go the far side of the city to Mastercare to get the part.

Hi
sometimes the door seal does wear as a result of the drum going sideways, perhaps by the suspension dampers wearing, on even the top restraint springs breaking, sometimes the door seal gets cut from things being washed, best to replace it,

Replaced seal today. Unfortunately I didn't go online since to see Constructs solution. Seal cost me 46 Euro so would have been much cheaper. At least it was better then paying the 70 Euro call out charge. Done in an hour with tea break. Imagine the time these guys could do similiar in.
