I have a problem with one leaking velux window and another potential leak from a similar positioned velux window (both about 13 years old), both in the hallway of my house. I noticed two brown drops on the shaft/wall underneath the velux windows which led me to look at the windows themselves...I noticed the internal corner of the frame holding the window pane was blistering and dark in colour. I had a look at the other window and noticed the same but it was not as severe.
What is the best course of action to fix before it’s a real problem? I contacted velux and they advised to contact a builder as they were outside of the ten year guarantee period. Can anybody recommend a builder who specilises in velux repairs in kildare area, preferably around Naas?
