We just moved into our new home and have a sick child , our back garden is fully decked and is very slippy. We were considering putting down the playground tiles but these are coming in at 70euro per square metre and its is working out at 2200.
This is too steep for us at the moment as money is tight.
Does anyone know if these special tiles cabe gotten cheaper somewhere else or have any other cheaper solution to make the decking safer ??
Oif our daughter gets a bang it could be lethal to her so we really need a quick solution.
The quote we got was in the eastern region.
Thanks in advance,

Hi there,

Firstly, I'm sorry to hear your little one is ill.

I saw in Atlantic Homecare yesterday tiles which interlock together price at 12.99 per tile. They slot together. The tile looked to be about 18" square, (not 100% sure). That may work out cheaper for you. Nice red and green so you could make a design. I had look on website but could not find them.

Might be in there again this week and will check them out and get back to you.

Thank you so much!

Someone previously mentioned using rubber / plastic mats that are used for cattle stalls as a cheaper option, think there is a thread about it.
