Hi, i'm looking for alternatives for Laya Simplyhealth excess plan. The renewal cost is 2915 for two adults. The renewal date is 1st July.

We are happy with the level of cover and are looking to maintain this level. I have looked at the Laya Simplicity plan as suggested on other threads but am open to moving to a different provider if similar coverage for a better price is available.

Welcome to AAM.
The following 3 plans are worth considering, 2 including good day to day cover, 1 with similar hospital cover and limited day to day cover;

1. VHI PMI 43 16; price 1171pa; all public, private and 3 hi-tech hospitals covered, excess 150 per private/hi-tech admission or 50 per day case.
Good day to day cover included, 1 euro excess.

2. VHI PMI 44 16; price 1112pa; all public, private(including private room) and 3 hi-tech hospitals covered, excess 150 per private/hi-tech
admission or day case. Limited day to day cover on this plan.

3. Simplicity; price 1190; similar hospital cover as before, extra cover for a private room in a private hospital included, private/hi-tech excess
max 100 x 2 per year for admissions, day case excess 50 per visit. Day to day cover included - the first 100 not allowed.
