Revenue are one department that are extremely fair and understanding. This is a pretty serious topic, and quite shocking as this change in behaviour by the Revenue Commissions is fairly consequential.
You have 30 days to appeal saying that you don't need to file a return because you shouldn't be VAT registered. Otherwise filing a correct return (and paying the amount due) overwrites the estimate. This is a pretty serious topic, and quite shocking as this change in behaviour by the Revenue Commissions is fairly consequential. Can anyone confirm that the filing of a late VAT return quashes the S110 charge? It states on the notice that there is 30 days to appeal.
