Last day for return & file on ROS

Anyone tell me what date this is? I can't find anything on the revenue site. I know its sometime in the next 2 weeks.

The key date is Thursday 16 November 2006 for filing...

I am planning to file my return on-line before 16 Nov. Looking at ROS today I see that my return for 2005 is showing up as overdue. Is that normal? I don't want to get hit with a 5% penalty.

I think that it is normal to show up as late - the deadline of the 16th is only for those people who pay and file via ROS. Anybody sending in traditional paper returns have a deadline of 31st October and therefore would, at this stage be late!!!

I think I'll just do mine tonight as I'm away most of next week and don't want to leave it to the last minute in case my broadband starts acting up or I just can't find the time....

You can do it up tonight and schedule your payment to come out of your bank account on the 15th, just before the deadline.
