My mother in law is moving to Ireland next week
. She will have just sold her UK house ( circ 285,000 STL). We are currently on look out for a property for her to buy close to where we live so a good portion of that would be funding it.
She opened an bank a/c in Ireland recently. We will be asking the bank questions by early next week on expected exchange rate and any transfer charges etc
But question is what is the best exchange rate (STL to EURO) can we expect to get and also would there be and noticeable transfer charges?
What would be the best short term deposit rates also?
