Landscape Designer Cost

Hi,

I'm looking for a landscape designer to do a garden design (just over half an acre). I want a site survey, layout design, planting plan etc. I got one quote already for €1200 which seems quite expensive.
Does anyone have any recent experience of what I should expect to pay at the moment? (South East area)

Hi Liamm,

I am based in Kiladre and got my back garden done last year - no real site survey, good drawings etc (just sketches). standard 4 bed semi garden.

Basically put in a sandstone circle, path around the sunroom, small little sandstone patio and a few stepping stones to shed. Put willow around the oil tank and back wall and then dug some curved borders and filled with shrubs and shingle.

Think it was around the €3,500 from memory - I shopped around and got quoted ALOT more. Was a nice guy and hard worker - did all the work on his own.
