Lambda sensor of BMW 316 auto, 1994

The lambda sensor of my car exhausted . gone.
A mechanic said it costs 300 euro. is it expensive? or normal?
usually how much pay for it included service charge ?

a brand new NGK Lambda Sensor from www.micksgarage.ie costs €116. Fitting of these is fairly straight forward if you are familiar with mechanical work.
