got a kitchen from Kitchen World last year. The fitter made a mess of the installation, no sealer was put around the sink or the worktop joints or along the upstand along the wall, also nails coming through the other side of doors.


Kitchen WOrld came and took pictures of this, said what a bad job it was and promised to have the mistakes corrected.

they sent the materials ie replacement countertop and other panels & upstand but wouldnt send a fitter to do the job.

Has anyone had any experience with Kitchen World or advise me what to do next. ???????
 
I just had a Kitchen done with this Company and I'm
Sorry to say I had a very good experience with this
Company from start to finish . I used a fitter recomended
From kitchen world . The fitter looked after the full job ,
Plumbing , electric , tiles .

Most of all the price was the best value for money & I
Shopped round ..

kitchen world are the best around. their stuff is good quality and the price is right too. i bought from the store in waterford and i have to say james the manager and all the staff were extremely helpful. highly reccommend...

Hi Eamo,

How do they get around that? My brother bought a kitchen from them and after the deal was finalised was told there was I think €700 approx installation charge on top of the price, if you paid this directly to KW don't they have to either refund it or send one of their other installers to rectify the original installers shoddy work?

BTW, he didn't use their recommended installer but had a Neighbour who is a general builder install it for a fraction of the price.

Based on scanning through your posts it looks like your the only one on this page with an affiliation to a Kitchen Company . Our your just a fountain of Knowledge about alot of Kitchen Companies & Suppliers .

hi gillarosa ,we bought kitchen and paid in april 08.fitting was 900euro extra to include 3 worktop joints. their recomended fitter came in july to install,and we paid him.A few weeks later the worktop joints swelled up also along the sink and along the plinth at the back of worktop became distorted .The manager from cavan came ,took pictures and said it was terrible,they sent new worktop and plinth but the fitter will not return .It may be a big job now with tilling all done at this stage. What can i do

Ah Dee99 im sorry if ive upset you ...... but i thought that this was a forum were people came to for advice or opinions, where people with a little more knowledge on a particular subject helped ar advised without seeking commercial gain.Since you ask yes i do have two business's one of which is a kitchen co. but if you have (obviously) looked at any of my previous posts ive never stated this nor have i ever only recommended one company or supplier.
