My husband's factory is swarming with mice, leaving their mark in the canteen, on the worktops, even in the toaster (ugh...). Plus, the toilets were never kept in tip-top condition. And there's a need for provision of lockers to keep workclothes/belongings....
Unfortunately, there's no union representation, and the workers didn't bother to get around to that ...
What sort of action should be done to get the employer accept his responsibility - 'duty of care' - for the health and wellbeing of his staff? Contact the Dept of the Environment to send over a health inspector? Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Eden
