keeping dogs off garden

I have seen people fill clear plastic bottles of water and place them around the garden - they say it keeps the dogs from going to the toilet on the grass. Not sure how it works but it does seem to work.

It is illegal for dogs to be out on the loose, off the lead. Talk to the owners and/or the dog warden.

Don't think so - I've seen dogs peeing on them !

There is stuff called "Keep off" that is a green gel substance that is supposed to keep cats and dogs away. I have used it successfully for cats in the past, no idea if it is any good for dogs. It does wash away with rain, so you will need to reapply after any showers.

No connection to the product in any way - just a past user.
Good luck with it!

I know someone who did this but put a small drop of ammonia in the bottle and a small hole in the cap, seemingly the theory being that the dogs would not like the smell. She said it worked

I would be interested in anything that would keep dogs from the front of my house and stop them barking, but this says it is audible to humans. Surely that would be no use. The neighbours would start complaining about me !!

Also, how would you locate it outside?
