Judgment Mortgage/Instalment Order

Hi,

I was subject to court proceedings from the bank as as result of a debt from a failed business in 2008. This resulted in a Judgment for 25k and subsequent Instalment Order being granted in 2013. I represented myself in the proceedings and the bank were a no-show in any of the appearances for the instalment order. On the 4th appearance I agreed with the judge to pay an amount each month (which I have been doing since). Is there a time-limit on the Instalment Order and assocaited Judgment Mortgage attached the house?

(2) An instalment order continues in force until the expiration of 12 years from the date of the judgment to which it relates, unless the debt and costs payable have been duly paid in full.

Each time you make a payment you extend the Statute of Limitations 6 years.

Thanks both. So my understanding of reading the above link and Jims comment is that the instalment order will stay valid as long as I make payments until the debt is settled.

...or does it mean that the Instalment order is no longer valid as its over 12 years from Judgment, but the Judgment Mortgage is valid from the last payment date?
