JSA and means testing partners income

Could someone give me info on how to work out my partners income to be mean tested so confussed ... he doesnt have a set amount each wk could go up and down with over time, this weeks wage was Gross 474.19.. we have 2 kids... i more than likely have dis wrong but the way i worked it out was
Gross 474.19
minus prsi 13.89
=460.30
minus 20x3days 60.00
=400.30 x 60% =240.18

im confused after dis, how do i find out how much i will get or will i get anything:(
 
You mightn't be far off the mark but best to get the 'officail' assessment. Nobody here can tell you for definite as every individual is different. They'll probbaly work off last year's P60 rather than last week'spayslip. Or else average out a weekly rate of pay.
 
Your right, your means is €240. So its standard rate €204 plus increase for QA €136 (check this figure, not sure) plus QC rate x2 = €52 - Total €392 Then you minus the means figure €240. Leaves a payment of €152 per week! Just had means done and this was the calculation used.
