jpeg offline slideshow

Hi there,
Can anyone recommend an opensource tool to create a jpeg slideshow where you dont need to be online? Ive tried a couple but they are all online (ie browser access). Microsoft PPT would do it but is too clunky, any recommendations appreciated.

I use Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.0 which is very good, you can get a free trial (dunno how much it is to register).

I've used Irfan before and found it very simple for slideshows where you're just viewing jpegs.

It's free at http://www.irfanview.com/

And I never had any funny problems with it, like crashes etc.
