Joint but separately assessed, can I keep eForm12

My wife and I are both PAYE taxpayers, but I have some additional income which makes me "chargeable" and forces me to submit form 11 tax return each year.
We got married in 2018, but I didn't realise that we had to notify revenue to request "Joint Treatment".
In my 2018 return *completed last month) I did declare that I was married at end of 2018, but that doesn't seem to have triggered anything.

I will shortly formally notify revenue of this, but I have a question in relation to assessment options.
I'm leaning towards "Joint but separately assessed" as I would prefer for my wife to remain fully PAYE. (i.e with access to eForm12/My Account).
I understand that this means we don't get the benefit of sharing bands until the annual return is filed, but I can live with that for the convenience of not completing form 11 for both of us.

Does anyone know if a couple are "joint but separately assessed" can one party keep Form12 while the other submits a form 11?

Thanks in advance.
