Doing a bit of DIY tomorrow & bought all the materials today ..... i hope !!
I have to join an external half inch hydrodare pipe (heavy-gauge) to an internal half inch acorn pipe. I'm going to use a brass fitting using an insert on the acorn.
Do I need an insert in the hydrodare ? The DIY shop didnt suggest it and I didnt think to ask.....and if i do is it a different insert to the one for acorn ???
Thanks
No need for any insert as pipe wall is thick on HG.its good idea to wrap compressed ring in PTFE tape{on the hydro) and add jointing compound if you have some (on the acorn). You will need a 3/4 x 1/2 Straight joiner. good luck
