Jobseekers Benefit

My husband is currently unemployed. He received jobseekers benefit for a year (based on his previous prsi contributions). He then did the means test to transfer to jobseekers allowance but because I'm working he isn't entitled to anything!!! Anyway he now thinks there's a chance he may be able to get a couple of months work (seasonal so won't extend beyond the summer). My question is - if he works for a couple of months will he then be entitled to get jobseekers benefit again once that employment finishes?? His wages won't be much - €400 per week gross max.
Thanks

And if it was only part-time work for 13 weeks (i.e. 2 or 3 days a week) would that be enough to entitle him to jobseekers benefit?

Thanks for the replies.
My husband read somewhere that as he is not working and not entitled to any social welfare payment he should sign on for "credits". His jobseekers benefit payment finished in mid April so will the credits be backdated to then if he goes in to the welfare office? (Since mid April he has been waiting to find out if he is entitled to jobseekers allowance and only found out the other day that he isn't).
Does anyone know what the story is with these credits and how long he has to be signing on for them before he is entitled to jobseekers benefit again?

He needs to have 13 paid contributions (not credits) in order to be eligible for JB again.
In the meantime if he has no work he should be signing on for credits and request SW to backdate his credits (not sure if they will)

I'm in the same position as your hunband. I've got what is call casual work were I'm not guaranteed work every week. So far I've got 6 weeks work, off for 2 weeks, another weeks work and off again this week.

What I'm wondering is do I need 13 weeks consecutive work or will I be OK with weeks on and weeks off to be eligble for JB if I get let go with this job.

Thanks.
