Hi,

My work contract is finishing up in couple of weeks time. Then i am going to do a volunteering program abroad for 4 weeks which will help me get some work in the future. And after that I want to return to my home country which is in EU.
Can you please advice me do i have to register as job seeker in Ireland as soon as I finish my work and before i go abroad or can I return to my home country and just request U2 form from there? And live and look for work in my home country? Or I have to come back to Ireland after volunteering register here, get payment for 4 weeks and move back home then?
The requirements for transfering job seekers benefit to another EU country is that I must get it first in Ireland for at least 4 weeks (this requirement can be waived in some instances). The thing is I dont have 4 weeks, so is it possible to get payment transfered without first getting job seekers benefit in Ireland or how does it work? Any replies are much apreciated.
Thank you
