Hi All,
Just after a bit of advice. My employer is winding down my company and transferring staff and products into the parent company. I have been asked to sign a new contract etc for new company but have also been advised I will need to take a €4k paycut! My role will stay the same and if anything the workload will increase.

Just wondering if I have to accept this 'new offer' or should my terms under existing employer still apply.

Thanks fory your help!

Possibly not, if the change is structured so that rules on "Transfer of Undertakings" apply - it certainly sounds possible from what little you've said, but you need expert advice (which means not mine!).

Have a look at this page

and the associated links; you may need to contact the Rights Commissioner Service urgently.

TUPE should cover this contract, terms and conditions should not be altered ....

If you refuse to sign new contract, have they offered you redundancy ??

Have they offered a parachute payment to move ..

Are you only person impacted by this pay cut ?
