Hi guys

A friend of mine is on JSA but wants to start his own business....he will be on JSA a year in April, should he remain on it and hopefully can apply for BTWEA when the year is up (april) or sign off and go ahead with the business.

all replys welcome.
 
I would wait if it was me, at least there will be some guaranteed income coming in from the BTWEA while starting up. Unless for some reason he can be sure this new business is a guaranteed winner, hard to be sure of in the present economic climate.
 
well this is it nothing is guaranteed these days, i know he is promised a week or two work in the new year so does he take the work and sign off, this work is in the area of IT and is home based!!
