1984 in South Mall, Cork.
I was somewhere behind the white van in the crowd waiting for someone to come in..
 
He was a man dedicated to athletics. Though not particularly close to him I met him many times over the years. I found him to be honest and without malice. He spoke his mind, when asked his opinion, which irked some.

His opinion of GAA games also coincided with mine!

His friends and family must be very upset, 67 is a very young age to die.
