Anyone else having A LOT of problems uploading Form 11s to ROS lately. No real issues logging in to ROS but Java is crashing my browser more often than not when I go to upload a return created offline. It's happening with Google Chrome & Internet Explorer so no options there either.

Very frustrating, and worrying (with 100+ returns to upload)!

Just spoke to an absolutely fanstastic girl in ROS helpdesk

Apparently there is an issue with uploading offline forms on ROS and Java Version 7 so here's what you have to do

Download Java Version 6 Update 35 Windows Online version (I have Windows obviously)

http://www.java.com/en/download/manual_v6.jsp

When it is installed reboot your PC and it should work

I actually uninstalled Version 7 before I installed the Version-1.6.0_35 but I jumped the gun a bit there. You shouldn't uninstall Version 7, just disable it for the purposes of uploading the Form 11s (see below)

What you are supposed to do is go to Start, Control Panel, click on Java. Go to the Java tab and click on View. This will list all the versions of Java on your PC. Disable Ver7 and Enable Ver6.0_35 and it should work

It did work for me anyway (even after uninstalling Version 7) but just in case

I Had the same problem today but my pc was telling me that i had to install latest version of JAVA as i had tried three times on ROS to upload. I thought it was just me doing something wrong. It worked when i did that. Dont feel so silly now :)

I had a problem saving the offline form. It kept telling me that I had a script error and did I want to do a "just in time debugging"

It seems to be saving the form anyway. I just say that I don't want to debug it.

Although I use Firefox, the Ros helpdesk talked me through some adjustment to Java in IE as she did not know how to do it for Firefox.

Just told by the Revenue that ROS does not work well with Google Chrome, just in case anyone is having problems with it.

I use Firefox but I might switch to IE for ROS if it works better.

I have no problems with Google Chrome, apart from the one above obviously
