I've changed my old UK Driving License to an Irish one

Iv changed my old UK Driving License to an Irish one but there's a catch they won't insure me because iv no History of driving on Irish roads even though im clean as a whistle..

I changed mine from a UK licence and they counted my years in the UK as well.. I rang quite a few insurers and never faced this issue.

They say iv no history of driving on Irish roads.. and because iv no claim bonuses for the last 5 years there not interested... and to think iv been driving since 1967 without one problem //.

Only in my Wife's car as a second driver.. we had a 3 year no claims bonus but that ended in 2013,, so its null and void
