Hello all,
I’m wondering, as a contractor in the IT sector (software programmer, developer) for 2009, has there REALLY been a daily rate reduction to contractors?
With technologies like Java and .net, should I be expecting to take a 20%-30% reduction on a daily rate difference from what I was getting in 2007/2008?
I was told (not sure if this is true) that agencies want you to take a lower rate (so they can pick up the difference); is that true?
Are daily rate contract developers etc…really taking a reduced rate on new contracts this year or is it all balloney?
